Go to a nude wellness

Okay, so I'm not prude or anything, but getting naked in front of strangers gives me a little (a lot) of stress. So this one was a big one for me. Gladly I didn't have to conquer this one alone as my friend Kathleen joined me. We planned a trip to the wellness together where everything was in the nude and mixed. So she already had some experience with the place which gave me some kind of reassurance and I was glad I had her to distract me from the fact nobody was wearing clothes.

So we went to this new wellness centre 'The white oak'. So in my head a nude wellness is like everybody just walking around naked. Gladly here they give your robes to wear when you move from one area to another. So this gave me some comfort. So we changed and even with the robe I felt naked. Maybe I'm a little prude after all.

After changing and taking our pretty picture, we went to the wellness part. We were in luck because as soon as we entered there was a scrub session starting. We were in bad luck because that meant removing that oh so comfy robe. So there I went, gathering al my confidence and away went the robe. At first I felt weird, vulnerable and yep, naked. As soon as we entered the sauna and the instructor started the session I relaxed pretty fast. Everybody was chill and I didn't felt judged or looked at at all. So I scrubbed my insecurities away with the salt. The metaphor.

The rest of the afternoon went smoothly and I could really relax. I was amazed about how okay it was to be naked with strangers around you. Well in that setting anyway. I didn't felt judged and it felt freeing in some sort of way. I could be me, in al my pure nature without someone judging the curves or stretch marks. So the only thing I can say is to just go yourself! It's so freeing to just be yourself in your pure form and to enjoy some wellness.
